I have administered hundreds of IQ tests and work extensively with the Sage School in the area at present to identify gifted children and strengths on which they can capitalize. I utilize the Wechsler tests (WPPSI for young children, WISC for older children) that are the most widely accepted.

The process: Testing typically takes two hours (plus or minus half an hour depending on the child’s pace and amount of breaks required to help maintain motivation). With very young children, testing can take place across two sessions depending on what works best for your child. I administer the supplemental subtests as I believe they are highly useful for information, though they are not included in the overall score.
